One pair of dropped spindles for T2a Bay Window 8/1970-7/1972.
6cm drop, offset +1cm per side with original disc brakes .
However, the original first generation 14 inch 5×112 steel rims cannot be mounted as the wheel will touch the bottom part of the spindle.
Alloy aftermarket, 15″ and second generation 14″ steel wheels will fit.
The difference between the two 14″ steel wheels is a round centre hole on the early ones whereas the later ones have a 5-star centre hole!
These “FrenchSlammer” dropped spindles allow you to lower your bus while keeping the original ride comfort.
This product has been designed so that your suspension works normally and the ball joints don’t touch the wheel
For maximum drop combine these dropped spindles a FrenchSlammer front beam.
Low and comfortable driving is no longer incompatible thanks to the FrenchSlammer products dedicated to the Aircooled range.
Road safety is essential. And with more than 20 years of experience Vintage Autohaus offers you to drive safely through its FrenchSlammer brand.
Developed, tested and analysed, all these parts have undergone several thousand kilometres of testing before they made it into production.
It is therefore in complete safety that you will be able to drive in a low and comfortable vehicle.
CAUTION :
The assembly of these dropped spindles requires cutting the complete mount of the bump stops to avoid tearing off the brake hoses and, depending on your rim model, you will also have to grind or cut the end of the
thread of the lower ball joint that protrudes from the nut.
