Thanks to the gas struts the bench transforms into a double bed in a matter of seconds. It couldn’t be any easier.
The bench is equipped with 2x 3-point automatic safety belts and comes with the required boards and foam (with integrated headrests).
This version also includes a metal plate for countering under the vehicle.
The metal plate in combination with the integrated headrests ensures that the bench is certified by the german TÜV.
This basically means, if done right, you can exchange a normal bench with this one without loosing any seats or add two usable seats into a panelvan for example. Road legal, according to germanys StVZO.

Installation note (LHD/RHD)
This bench seat is designed for installation on the left side of the vehicle, which is ideal for RHD (right-hand drive) models, where the sliding door is on the left, leaving the right side free for furniture.
This fold-down bench seat may also be the solution for LHD (left-hand drive) vehicles with air conditioning for the passenger compartment or Climatronic, equipped with an additional evaporator in the rear right corner.
In this case, the best solution is to use this bench seat designed for right-hand drive vehicles and install it on the left side of the vehicle.
It can also be fitted to a left-hand drive vehicle without an evaporator in the rear right corner, but the side furniture will be limited by the presence of the sliding door, so there will not be enough space for a conventional layout.
