Advice for proper assembly: these gaskets are to be mounted dry, without oiling or treating them with anything, so you only need to well degrease the surface of the valve covers and heads where the gasket goes to rest, in order to avoid any slippage of the gasket itself out of its seat.
Our advice is also to glue the gaskets onto the valve covers with the help of a high-temperature sealant (such as our SK103202).
You pass a bead of sealant only on the side between the gasket and the valve cover (and not on the cylinder head side!) and put the cover in place by only partially closing the spring/closing clip, so as not to crush the sealant too much and prevent it from leaking out.
You let it dry and then only then close the valve covers completely. If the bonding between the seal and the valve cover is well achieved, you can disassemble and reassemble the valve cover without ever replacing the seal.
Avoid using cleaning products or others (such as WD40, nettoyant freins, etc.) on these gaskets as the silicone is particularly sensitive and they would have to be discarded afterwards.
