"Resurrection", the rescue of a rolling 1955 Split Bus !
AirMapp & Serial-Kombi present "Resurrection", a short film about the discovery and rescue of a 1955 VW Split Bus that had been abandoned in a forest in the French Alps for 40 years. A very unusual rescue: no trailers, trucks or helicopters.
Florian George got everything he needed to make the combi roadworthy from Serial-Kombi, set up a construction site in the woods with his friends and then drove it home through the forest!
This project, as crazy as it is passionate, has brought together a team determined to bring this legendary 1955 VW Bus, abandoned in the mountains, back to life. With an organisation worthy of an expedition, each stage was meticulously prepared so that the rebirth of this vehicle could take place in the middle of nature. Thanks to Serial-Kombi, which supplied the necessary parts, Florian and his friends overcame every mechanical challenge on the spot, improvising a workshop in the middle of the forest. This unique adventure is a testament to their unconditional love of mechanics and respect for history, bringing back to the roads a true relic of the golden age of the VW Bus.
