Description

LENGTH: 4 METERS

“FK” = extinguishing agent used: FK-5-1-12. In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on F-gases (fluorinated greenhouse gases), this system is supplied exclusively with the clean FK-5-1-12 agent, as HFC-based versions are no longer available on the market.
FK-5-1-12 is a non-toxic, non-conductive extinguishing agent that leaves no residue and poses no danger to people, equipment, or enclosed spaces. It is also one of the most environmentally friendly fire suppression agents available on the market, with zero ozone-depleting potential and a very low global warming potential, making it a smarter and safer alternative to traditional halon-based agents.
How it works: an automatic fire extinguisher for small areas (ideal for the engine compartment of your Combi/Transporter), available in three sizes: 2, 3, and 4 meters.
Design: an 18-mm-diameter tube containing “FK” directly inside (no external tanks). This is a compressed liquid gas that is mechanically and chemically highly effective against fire,
safe, and leaves no residue.
How it works: BlazeCut reacts to the heat of the flame and activates automatically. The tube melts at the hottest point, releasing the extinguishing agent, which instantly “freezes” the fire.
This allows for early fire suppression, before it can spread, preventing major damage.
How to install it: BlazeCut requires no drilling or modifications to the electrical wiring! It is easily installed using the clamps provided in the engine compartment,
just above the most sensitive areas. A small pressure gauge located on the upper part of the tube (to be positioned in a visible location) allows you to monitor the internal pressure.
The pressure will increase as the temperature rises.
The Benefits
– Automatic:
It activates automatically upon detecting an excessive temperature rise (approximately 130°C).
– Clean:
The FK extinguishing agent is discharged in liquid form and disperses like a gas, leaving no residue after extinguishing the flames. BlazeCut thus eliminates the cleanup costs associated with traditional systems.
– Harmless and non-toxic:
FK fluid gas does not conduct electricity; it is non-corrosive and causes no thermal shock damage.
As a result, there is no risk of injury or damage within the protected area. Unlike CFCs, it contains no chlorine and is ozone-friendly.
– “Freezing” effect:
FK-5-1-12 is in the form of a compressed liquid. Once decompressed, it causes freezing by absorbing large amounts of heat to return to its natural gaseous state. It therefore has high cooling and fire-extinguishing efficiency compared to an equivalent volume of foam or powder.
– Universal use:
The system can be easily installed in any confined space considered at risk (car, home, RV, boat, etc.)
– Self-contained:
The system requires no power source to activate.
– Very simple installation:
Anyone can install the BlazeCut without any special skills. The tube is small and flexible, making it easy to set up.
– Durable:
The device has a very long service life.
– Maintenance-free:
It requires no maintenance throughout the system’s operational life.
– Safe for people:
The concentration of the liquid in the fire prevention system is safe for people and poses no health risk once activated.
– Cost-effective:
With simple, do-it-yourself installation, a long service life, and no maintenance required, BlazeCut is a very cost-effective product compared to other existing systems.
BlazeCut is ideally positioned in the engine compartment, the primary source of vehicle fires (short circuits, fuel presence, high temperatures, etc.)
and very difficult to access for firefighting (enclosed space, excessive heat, risk of backdraft or flashback, etc.). BlazeCut serves as a highly effective first line of defense against fire risk,
allowing you to extinguish the fire before it spreads or giving you the time needed to safely evacuate the occupants.
CAUTION: Do not damage the tube with sharp or pointed objects; do not break it, and do not force it to bend. Ensure that no moving parts come into contact with the system after installation.
Operating temperature: -20°C to +90°C.
For the following fire classes:
Class A = ordinary combustibles (with flames)
Class B = flammable liquids
Class C = flammable gases
