The CSP Products Super Competition is a modern classic among sport exhausts and fits VW Beetle (straight and bulged rear apron) and Karmann Ghia (Type-14) with Type-1 engines from 1300 cc onwards.
Can be fittted to a T1 Splitscreen bus when lowering and relocating the two tail pipes more to the exteriour on each side (requires cutting and welding)
It combines quality and performance with subtle looks.
Like with all CSP Products exhaust systems this is not using universal parts but components especially produced for CSP.
The mufflers will impress you with their discreet sound and are positioned high up to provide good ground clearance even for very low cars.
Only the genuine Super Competition exhaust features the CSP logo on the mufflers. Besides their diameter of 54 mm the high gloss polished tail pipes do appear like stock tail pipes right down to the sound baffles.
The header features a 38 millimeter diameter and equal length tubes. This header is for dual carburetor engines (no heat risers) and without heating (no heater boxes).
Due to the relatively large pipe diameters of the CSP Products Super Competition exhaust, it can be used with Type 1 engines up to 2000 cc and peak revs of 6000 rpm.
The maximum valve size shouldn’t be bigger than 40 mm for the intake side and 35,5 mm for the exhaust valve.
The silencers and pipes are made from 1.4301 stainless steel, the elbow is made from 1.4512 stainless steel.
