When retrofitting a brake booster in the VW Bus Type-2 ’55-’70 (Splitwindow/Baywindow), the tubing of the handbrake cable and, if necessary, clutch cable must be rerouted to avoid collision with the brake booster.
With this CSP Products extension kit, the tubing can be easily extended to the front reinforcement plate.
The kit comes with a 730 mm long extension tube, flanged at one end, which can be connected to the existing tubing using our special connector.
The extension tube can then be shaped and cut to length depending on the vehicle type, application, and size and positioning of the brake booster, in order to elegantly guide the cables around the brake booster.
In front of the brake booster, the guide tube can then be routed back through the provided opening in the reinforcement plate. A suitable rubber grommet is included in the delivery.
The metal extension tube comes bare and must be protected from corrosion after the adjustment work.
