CAUTION: The power of the struts is intended to help open the roof manually, and not to make the roof lift by itself. They are also not suitable for lifting an additional load placed on top of the folding roof.
Also remember that the sliding door must be open when raising or lowering the roof because it must allow the necessary volume of air to be sucked in/out.

Opening and closing assist for Westfalia roofs on T4 camper vans

Installation using Combi Toit-certified ball joints on the hinges.
1) Unscrew the third screw securing the hinge, starting from the back, using a 10 mm socket.
2) Screw the universal joint into the screw hole, keeping the original washer, using a 13 mm flathead wrench.
3) Screw the cylinder (rod side) onto the end of the universal joint
4) Attaching the bracket to the aluminum rail
Caution: Pre-drill a 5 mm hole in the aluminum rail to a depth of 7 mm, as the roof thickness is 17 mm
Secure the bracket to the aluminum rail using the 4 self-tapping screws.
Operating the T4 roof
Operating the T4 Roof equipped with the Combi Roof kit Opening:
Remove the safety lock.
Extend the roof as far as possible using the black handle. Lift effortlessly using the H-bar.
Closing:
Lower the bar gradually. Release the bar halfway down.
The roof stops.
You can now easily stow the canopy. Lower the roof and lock it.
