If you modified your bus by switching from a steering box to a steering rack to improve the driving, don’t forget to replace the original protective plate with this ‘closed’ version.
This avoids moisture and dirt from entering the pedal area through the hole for the steering box. This prevents rust and deterioration of the mechanical parts involved.
At the same time you get a ‘stock’ look that does not hint at the steering conversion and rather makes one think of an original bus.
This cover, made of fiberglass with black gelcoat, is lightweight and durable and will never rust. It simply screws on to the original points with the help of the included mounting rail.
Steering and brake cuts must be made by the customer, so it is suitable for both left- and right-hand drive vehicles.
The black satin gelcoat surface should be painted in the desired color after making the cuts.
