This seal, one of the highest quality ones on the market, consists of several profile parts glued together.
These can be more or less dark. Depending on the amount of protective talcum powder with which the rubber has been treated.
This is normal and is not a defect or problem, except from an aesthetic point of view.
If a darker and more even colour is desired, the gasket can be cleaned with warm water and Marseille soap [sic] or with a special degreaser.
In any case, talcum powder is an excellent protection for the seals and prolongs their life. We therefore recommend that you leave the seal as it is and, if necessary, apply new talcum powder once a year.
Because after all, sometimes, more actually is more.
