The ventilation grilles can also be used with electric windows. However, the window glass must not be raised quickly in the automatic mode. In most vehicles, the windows can be raised in small steps – this procedure should be chosen when inserting the ventilation grilles.
Insulated windows are available as special accessories for the new buses. These windows are slightly thicker than the standard ones.
If you have a vehicle with this extra equipment, you only have to widen the lower part of the ventilation grille a little.
This can easily be done by applying light pressure with your thumb between the two plates.
As the ventilation grilles are made of aluminium, this does not require any great effort.
This can also be done with normal windows, as the slightly wider gap allows the window glass to close much faster with very sensitive electric window regulators.
