The NDS Smart Separator is an automatic system which manages the charging process of the starter battery and a service battery.
It automatically manages the parallel setting of the engine battery and the service battery as soon as the main battery is charged.
This feature allows vehicles to charge the service battery with a simple and quick installation without having to use a parallel relay controlled by a subkey or D+.
Another important function is the manual or automatic battery disconnection function which prevents deep discharges.
When the service battery’s current drops below the critical threshold of 10.5 V, or 11 V for more than 10 minutes, the system completely disconnects all devices in the system connected to the device.
The system is automatically reset as soon as a charging source is present, e.g. alternator, electric charger or photovoltaic modules.
