Due to the traditionall high centre of gravity of the T5 and T6 models, the suspension strut mounts are subjected to high stresses when cornering, driving on uneven roads and braking. Even when the vehicle is empty.
With increasing loads the forces increase even more – premature wear is thedirect result.
To remedy this, MEYLE has developed improved and reinforced strut mounts for T5 / T6 (also for the 4Motion version). The set consists of the rubber silentbloc with bearing,
the bearing shell and the shock absorber mounts.
The increased number of balls in the bearing ensures a more even distribution of loads, which increases the overall load capacity of the bearing and thus the service life of the product.
In contrast to the cast VW construction, the MEYLE spring seat is forged. This makes it much more stable and less prone to cracking.
