This tool was made to help unscrew and tighten the annoying aluminum nuts of the dashboard switches and also to turn the butterfly nut for clutch cable adjustment.
That’s five tools in one. This is the improved second generation version.
The 3 slotted ends are for switches that have a threaded stalk coming out in the center, while the non-slotted one is for emergency switches and light switches.
The center groove is made for turning the butterfly nut for adjusting the clutch cable.
It is suitable for both original and reproduction switches.
Slotted end for 12v switches that have a threaded pin coming out in the center, such as windshield wiper switches.
Slotted end for 6v switches, as above
Slotted end but with flat edge, works well with new reproduction switches that have only flat grooves.
Non slotted end, works on 12v and 6v switches that have nothing occluding the center section.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MAY NEED TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO FIT YOUR SWITCHES, UNFORTUNATELY NOT ALL SWITCH ESCUTCHEONS ARE THE SAME.
This tool is made out of stainless steel and then machined to remove sharp edges.
