The Wind Split: Serial Kombi's icon and champion of the slopes
To celebrate the brand's tenth anniversary, Pascal and his team set about creating an unusual drag combi... a high roof model, probably the least aerodynamic of all combis.
Inspired by the spirit of nostalgia, this 1967 tin bus from Portugal was first presented in 2002. But in 2007, something clicked for Pascal: to celebrate this decade, he decided to radically transform it.
Today, the famous Wind Split has become the symbol of Serial Kombi and a remarkable ambassador for Pascal. Thanks to its driver and its impressive 330bhp, it has climbed to the top of the Buses with Attitude rankings and is now ranked third in the world among the fastest combis of all time, with a time of 12.1073 seconds!

At the 2014 edition of the Hills Race, an Italian drag race for air-cooled American cars and Volkswagens, Pascal Amodru's incredible modified 1967 VW Transporter T1 High Roof 'Wind Split' impressed the public. Powered by a 2332 CC flat-four Type 1 engine producing 230 bhp (plus around 100 bhp more with the Nitrous Oxide System), its best quarter-mile time was 12.10 seconds and its highest top speed was 111.56 mph (180km/h).
