When petrol powered only for Syncros, not for 1900cc DF, but also for 1700cc Diesel
This is the larger cooling fan used on the Syncro and the 1.7 Diesel, as well as on buses fitted with air conditioning, as these required greater cooling.
You can fit it as a replacement for the standard 300 W model, but you will then need to adapt the blades or the housing, as well as the wiring.
As with the original model, there appear to be two pipe connections at the rear, but these have never served any purpose.
They were probably omitted during the design phase at Volkswagen and have remained unused.
