PLEASE NOTE: Take precautions before removing the injection pump.
– Before disassembling make sure that the parts to be disassembled are marked so that you know where they have to be connected afterwards.
In particular the pressure pipes must not be interchanged.
If connected incorrectly the motor will not run properly and the pump may be damaged.
– It is important that the pressure pipes are absolutely leak proof. All copper gaskets must be replaced to ensure that the circuit is 100% sealed.
If there is air in the system the pump will be damaged. If there are leaks the motor will not run properly.
– Also remember to change the diesel filter. Make sure the diesel is clean (presence of water, impurities, etc…). blow out the pressure pipes and….
If in doubt, clean the tank!
ATTENTION:
In the event of a malfunction and to enforce the warranty, the pump will be returned by us to a speacialist.
If it turns out after the test run that the fault is a user error the customer will be charged for the test.
The guarantee is therefore void!
Also to be considered:
**The injection pumps are only suitable for VW Bus Transporter engines.
**After an injection pump has been replaced the ignition timing has to be reset. Incorrect timing can lead to engine failure or damage the pump.
If you are not sure how to replace a pump and how to set the ignition, please contact a specialist workshop.
