This kit contains everything you need – including the ATE master cylinder! – to switch from the original single-circuit brake system to a dual-circuit system.
A dual circuit is much more effective and therfore safer in case of pressure loss.
With the dual circuit system two out of four wheels continue to brake if one circuit fails. Whereas with the original system, the ENTIRE braking system looses pressure.
The hand brake is not sufficient to stop the vehicle in case of an emergency.
WARNING: When installing a disc brake kit, it is MANDATORY to do this upgrade.
Otherwise residual pressure remains on the front brakes which can lead to overheating of the brakes and dangerous situations.
