If the engine does not hold idle when cold, it is possible that the intake manifold is frozen. When the mixture of gas and air accelerates, in fact, the intake manifold may “freeze” because the air inside simply becomes cold, too cold.
Clogged preheat pipes on the manifold, improper flow of hot air from the engine to the air filter, a defective air filter, a blocked winter valve… The causes of negative air temperature can be different.
This manifold heating sleeve / inlet manifold de-icing unit is the solution. It installs in minutes, just wrap it around the manifold heater and connect the cable to the ignition coil.
Also, for the cold winter months, it is a doubly useful solution because, by heating the fuel mixture, you get better filling of the combustion chambers and thus better mileage!
